Beautiful day for sleeping, everytime I woke up there was rain hitting the roof! Heavenly

I would agree but trying to sleep in with those creatures runnning around the apartment is impossible, so they're completely worn out now and I can sleep.

Ah yes, I have one like a possum, and unfortunately in the last 5 minutes her fellow bestie possum has blown in for the night so I won't even get a decent night time sleep now!

It was 43 in Perth today. 10pm and it's still 30. No wonder a person wants to move to the UK.

In all our time in Brisbane/sunshine coast I can only recall one day of 40 something and it was 46

Superb timing too, we had just flown in from the snow covered Utah.

I nearly dropped dead at the airport.

I never want to experience it again, however in melb we will, not unusual to have spells of those temps for a few days running too.

I normally don't might high heat but yesterday was stupid hot (it hit 44.4c in Perth, 41.5c here)

I had loads to do around the house and garden but my son and I ended up sitting in the pool all day

Think yourself lucky. NB had no aircon or pool yesterday and another FB friend had a power pole being changed so had no power all day (and no pool). 35/6 is my limit I think and we've only had about 2 of those in 9 years.

I think the low humidity here helps with the heat - think I prefer high 30's with no humidity to high 20's with high humidity.

Nice sunny day, with about 35 so far, although was still 30 when I got in from work at 1am this morning

I'm the opposite, hate dry heat, I feel as though I'm going to shrivel up and die, give me 'some' humidity and I can cope with higher temps. Don't think we've ever had 30 at night!

Think the warmest overnight we've had is around 35 but wont swear to it
