My kids will be 2.5k away from the bus stop. Might get the Missus to chuck 'em out as she drives past.

We are starting to think that have had another look around realestate and found a few that mention bus stop or close to school. So may go back to the drawing board.
But because the first few we looked at didn't have a problem getting to school we fell in to the trap of thinking that wasn't a problem...oh! how wrong.
Was a nice house though. Plus after a bit more look around not sure if we should go for one with established pool as well which she didn't have.

With regard to the pool - depends on how much cash you have, if tight for housebuying, go for one with a pool, if you have some equity then go for a place with room for what you want, then you can build the pool you want.
We looked at some of both and tbh the ones with pools, were all pools we wouldn't want to give house room to But had we bought them we would never have got round to doing what we wanted, would have just put up with it.

Does your head in this house buying bit.
We have reasonable idea of what we want in a house, and like you have already said some pools aren't worth jumping in. Then other houses by the time you add the pool costs you may as well have bought better house in the first place.
We scoured the internet for Cashmere bus time tables and can't get any for the main area as we are still interested in Cashmere in general.
Even the phone call to the school didn't produce results.
Destinied to never move... .

Well now that ones turned out to be a possible no go we would just like to have a good idea of where most of the school buses stop in Cashmere for varying schools, as he only has 1 1/2 years left at primary then off to high so we have that to take into account as well.
Tried looking on google but the ones mentioned seemed more the city side and not mentioning the roads given in refadex.
