My favourite Aus Cheese is Tasmania's Mersey Valley. I dont think I've had a European Cheese as crumbly as that. Is there a comparative European cheese ?

So I would agree definitely worse cheese in Aus on the whole, but decent stuff is available if you look for it and tbh in the shopping basket its far from the most important item :-) (the quality of meat, fruit and veggies in Aus seems markedly higher and more worried about those)
I was just comparing like for like. Prahran market is the Aussie equivalent of Borough market.

If you want real Cheshire cheese you will have to go to a UK deli that imports it.

Vic market is overpriced rubbish. I think Prahran is actually better for food. Well for the food I like anyway and usually get cheese from Prahran.

The day I have to cross the Yarra to buy good food will be a first. I'll give Meditteranean Wholesalers in Brunswick a go first I've actually never been to Prahan Market, which I guess I should be ashamed of. Probably should make the effort.

Vic Market is Starting a Night Market in Coburg from November onwards... expecting 5,000 people every friday.

Edit.... I'll have a look at Preston Market on my way home from work tomorrow, I doubt if they will have it though... maybe you never know.

Seen it once or twice in Woolies actually. Imported from the UK. Not cheap for what it is.

If you find any good cheese in Brisbane, sing out! I've found decent mozzarella in a deli nearby (and I'll buy Kikorangi blue if I see it), but the rest of it is bland and rubbery so far

Stop it! You'll turn red again....

ALDI do some half decent cheese but compared to ASDA it's 3 times the price.
