Ok if and when the time comes to move to oz i have two states in mind western australia,probably perth or queensland probably brisbane,sunshine coast or gold coast,what would you pick and why.
And what one did you go too.?

Perth is a place i think best suited to my line of work and maybe more of it there but so maybe could queensland be,its just the east coast had many more places at that side compared to west side of australia.

I know its been on my mind for a lot longer than that to move to oz,even while in the uk was offered sponsorship serveral times but to be honest i was never ready to go or sure,but after my 1yr trip around oz in 2004 i was more sure and with meeting a oz girl 2006/07 it was the push i needed to go forward with it,i just passed my tra and now going to try for visa,hopefully in the next year or so i will be posting on here from oz,it was brisbane cause of the oz girl i met but i think she got fed up waiting and its over now i am unsure if perth or queensland.

Queensland's SE corner is most defo the up and coming area of Australia. Perth has nothing to offer compared to Brisbane.

I think it is a Perth thing to not have any manners but we are more civilised here on the main coast of Australia.

I think decorum tells us we should not turn this thread in to another Perth bashing, god knows there are enough of them.

How about we cut out the knocking of either Perth or Brisbane, and just concentrate on answering the original question with some actual information

For us Perth was to far away, maybe a daft reason for some but we felt it was! Having said that I have never been there and it may be a wonderful place to live, however we chose Gold Coast because we are a busy family who don't do sitting on the beach every weekend (although we like to every so often). We love the theme parks and the accesability to the beach when we want it, also its not far from Brisbane if we feel like heading there for the day. It works for us.

I think as a few posters have highlighted, it depends on your priorities in life. Perth suits me because I like a slower pace of life. Queensland does offer a closeness to other things that WA can't offer and getting out of WA can be expensive. You don't say what you do for a job or if you have children.
