Day off for me today so sat and watched it too!

Cried through the family bits - typical of me! Especially funny as it is probably my clan that has contributed to my desperation to race to the furthest place away.

I was also well miffed that the BBC chose where they went to - was hoping they would go for the country as it was somewhere that had been recommended to us!

Have to say I loved the two boys - such typical teenagers. Overall a good episode I thought. Makes me ever more excited to go too!

I must say, I thought that the family did really well and came across as very normal. Remember that poor woman a few years ago who said that her horses came first, then the dogs, then the kids and then her husband. LOL. She was crucified by the shows editing!

How are you watching it tonight Alfresco? Did you record it? I looked at iplayer last night but it only seemed to have evening shows on there. (I don't use iplayer very often )

Damn! I always forget NOT to read BE until the day after airing as I only get to see them in the evening after work. Tragic as it is I don't want to know in advance whether they vote for Oz or the UK

Typically there'll be one episode in Sydney and all the rest will be out in the boonies outside the major cities. Some of us actually WANT to move to Sydney, y'know, on purpose!

Love this programme and eagerly await watching each one, regardless of where they are headed. Today's was especially interesting as we have 2 teenagers who we will be dragging along with us!!

The messages from back home get me every single time though; I know that's what they are intended for and I think its great to point out how most, if not all, of us who intent to emigrate will feel about leaving those we cherish behind but its that sadistic part to the progamme that I love to hate!!

Does anyone know if they are intending to visit Melbourne at all over the next 4 weeks? The BBC website only seems to have the listings for the next week. Typically they are showing Perth a couple of times now that we have decided against going there

Robin Saunders is a specialist shoe-maker - he's been with the same company all his working life. When he samples a similar job in Queensland, his loyalties are torn.

First response Horses 4am, dogs 4.30, Kids lunches 5.30 and Husband last as could fend for himself but usually had cooked breakfast and pack up done before he left at 6. What they didn't explain either was that they were her business and not just a hobby. However the power of editing and the need to repeat the answer in 10 different styles. You live and learn.
