Default Travel Insurance for Oz Working Holiday Visa

Hi,

Myself and my boyfriend are off to Oz in a few months on a working holiday visa and we plan to do some agricultural work in the outback between our travels. Can anyone recommend some good travel insurance companies? I've been looking at Nomads who I was informed were good for that kind of thing and they've come up with a quote of £1080 for 18 months. Is this standard or quite expensive? Obviously we don't want to be caught out with being inadequately insured but equally don't want to spend more than we have to! Any recommendations or thoughts appreciated! Thanks
