Thinking of moving to Australia
 

Hi folks I'm new to this forum just looking a few questions answered.

Me and the fiance have talked about moving to Australia with are two kids. I'm 28 and a qualified plumber but I'm a time served mechanic/tyre fitter as that's what I work at now
My fiance is 25 and is a nursing auxiliary.
Are two children are 7 and 2.
Have been looking threw at visas and unsure what type we go for if we go ahead are plan would be for a year or two till decide if it's really for us and apply for permanent citizenship. Do we just apply for two separate working visas then renew for the second year. What visa do the children need.

Any advice on the best part of Australia to go to, to start off and try settle down

The fiance and I are planning on going for a couple of weeks holidays in the new year but also to scope things out and see a few different city's and that while we are there

It sounds like you're talking about a working holiday visa at the end there...you can't use this visa to move to Australia with your children...dependents are not allowed.

Thanks this is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm unsure so what way do I go about it as in a family visa so both me and fiance and dependants can go.

If one of you can qualify for a visa then partner and children are included on that visa. You do not both have to qualify, you will be seen as a family unit.

First thing is to work out if either of you can qualify for a visa. Start with the 189/190 visas, then maybe the 489. These would be the best PR visas to start with.
