Think I might be coming to Oz
 

Have had a left field offer that I am very tempted by, just want a little help and alignment of expectations. The position will be in Port Macquarie, any thoughts on this area much appreciated. Package seems good, they are providing a car and house (that I can choose) with a 4 year VISA for me the wife and 2 kids, kids are 19 and 25 and may not come over. Job is also very attractive to me.

Pay is good, I think, 430k + package. I am currently assuming that this will allow me to live out there comfortably while maintaining my house in the uk. So some questions

What is Port Macquarie like. Wife and I are 50, love Golf not very sporty people though.
Are there many opportunities for young ones here, 19 and 25. Daughter is a beautician, son business administration
Wife will not be working, I am hoping that 430k is equivalent to around 200k a year back home in Scotland ?
Whats the weather like in this area
What can I expect house wise for around 850-1000 aud a week rental
Is there much in the way of crime in this area
Will I see big bugs, hate big bugs :)
