Re: Submitting an Online UK Tax Return
PS. It is often worthwhile checking that you do indeed have an obligation to lodge a UK tax return:

Also, if you miss the 31 January filing deadline:

Re: Submitting an Online UK Tax Return
Thank you for that information.

SA109 Notes - Residence, remittance basis etc. Notes (2013) (PDF, 580KB)
Guidance to help you complete the SA109 supplementary pages to declare your residence and domicile status, to claim the remittance basis, and to claim personal allowances as a non-UK resident.

HMRC have confirmed that the “Residence, remittance basis etc.” pages (SA109) are not included on their online software, and that currently there is no intention for this form to be included. For this reason, if you are looking to make a claim for non-residence, or are non-domiciled and wish to claim the remittance basis of assessment, or to claim relief in respect of your non-UK duties, international treaty relief, etc, and you plan to file your own tax return via HMRC’s self assessment software, you will need complete and submit a paper copy of form SA109 in addition to your online return.

Sorry, I disagree with that suggestion - ie lodging a paper version of the SA109.
In my view sending a paper form to HM Revenue is asking for it to be not processed in any meaningful timeline.

Lodge the complete tax return electronically - after you have made sure that you are indeed required to be in the UK's SA system (see my last post).
Best regards.

Your charges are far more reasonable than my firm's Alan, so I wouldn't recommend asking me!

We're specialists and charge accordingly! Good value given our knowledge though. And nothing like how much we used to charge when I used to work for a big four firm.
I use Alan for my Aussie return as it happens.

I'm keeping you in mind. Our tax is going to be all over the place when we move to Liverpool, Scouse a UK citizen, me on a spouse visa, investment property in Oz, account based pension from each of our Oz super accounts, Scouse with a partial UK state pension - gives me a thumping headache just thinking about it and will need all the help we can get
