Hi everyone,
I have duel nationality. English/Australian.
My husband has sent off his application for Spouse Visa.
We have been married for 11 years (second marriage) our children are all grown up and at last its our turn to enjoy life and return to the country of my birth at last.
The waiting time is shown as about 6 months does anyone know differently.
Will follow the chatline with interest.
Happy New Year everyone.

Hi Lynn, We have been waiting for 4 and a half months. I have seen several "Got It"
postings from people who waited for 5 months so we are hoping to hear something soon.
Dean, Karen and Jayden.

Hi Lynn,
6 months appears to be a fairly normal length of time for someone applying for a Spousal Visa I dont think you will have a problem convincing any one that your relationship is a genuine one ( 11 years of marriage)
Provided your application was extensively detailed ie You provided your medicals , x-rays, character references, police checks and have them presented in a manner which assists the person making this decision about all your family's future I dont think you will run into any problems
My wife and I applied for a Spousal Visa last year and it took 4 months (Not from UK) I think that because we provided all this information at once and because they were able to easily esablish our relationship was a genuine one that this halved the normal time it should have taken
Good luck with your application
Gerard

Thank you for your e-mails, it is comforting to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully a visa at the end of six months.
Will keep everyone informed on our progress.
