son wants a part time job...how many hrs/ wk allowed????

Hi,

My son is going to be on our application for pr visa. He is 18 in September.

I know there have been threads about this before but....

He still attends school, doing A levels finishing next summer...which I presume means he is dependent as he has no form of income other than what we give him..
He was saying the other day that he could 'do' with more money...couldnt we all...
How many hrs/wk can he work to still be classed as dependent..????

OR..would you not risk it and make him remain jobless and 'us' line his pockets a bit more???????? hmmpphh

Why not make him do both? Work part-time for YOU and you pay him xyz amount per week...best of both worlds then, he's got more money, you get to work him like a dog for peanuts and he's still a dependant...hooray for kids!!
