Default Taking personal jewellery

Hello,

we are moving to Australia and we will be flying via Kenya as want to visit some family first. We would like to avoid carrying personal jewellery. Is there other shipping/air freight options of sending personal jewellery direct to Australia? If anyone has done this.
only option we have is to visit kenya and return to UK. Then fly to Australia with jewellery in our possession.
thanks

Plenty of shipping and air freight companies that deal with personal imports to Aus. Best to enquire direct with the freight companies themselves as their policies may vary. Insurance could be hefty too.

Hi, if I were you I'd contact courier companies to see if they will transport your jewellery and what customs clearance documentation is necessary. According to the Royal Mail, importing jewellery via post is prohibited in Australia.
