Shire Rates in Perth
Can anyone point me in the right direction to check for Shire rates across different Shires in Perth. Is there are website or something? Also, are the charges similar to that in the UK i.e size of property and location? What about water rates? Where can I find out this information? Many thanks

As far as I know, there is no website summarising all the shire rates. You'll need to look at the website of the council(s) you are interested in. As an example, here is the Joondalup website with their rates info:

Rockingham City (includes Secret Harbour, Baldivis,Warnbro,Port Kennedy, etc)
$1020 rates for 12 months from 2007 , has been increasing by $30 every year
its based on UCV -unimproved capital value.
Water rates (includes sewerage rate) has a standing service charge of
$694 a year with a usage rate on top of that. If you have a house bore
(very common SOR ) the quarterly account varies between $60 or in our
case with two teenagers-beach-shower , going out another shower , up to
$130 a quarter
