Re: The Sensible Australian Election Thread
I think Labor and the Greens have jumped the gun and should have waited to see if they could get the independents buy in first.

If anything's going on under the table - well that applies to all parties involved equally, all the independents regardless of which side they favour would be naive to think otherwise.

I don't trust any of these (Labor/Greens) socialist pricks.

Don't forget that the Greens have in their Policy list:
Death Duties.

It's going to be a bit difficult for the independents to agree to something with Gillard without knowing the deal with the Greens. What Labor and the Greens have agreed to could be the complete opposite to what the independents would agree to.

The greens have looked into the abyss that is Abbott and chosen progressive govenment instead. They haven't asked for or been given much.

The Greens are the abyss and are anti-progress. Heaven help us if they manage to get an influence in government.

I agree that some need a reality check, but they polled 1.36 million votes which is 4 times more than the Nationals so they have more right to influence the government than the National party.

They are as socialist, lying and dumb with money as anyone else in parliament. Bob latter wants to bring back protectionism now. Hardly a bastion of free market economics.
Point is both sides are weak on policy, poor on money and as dishonest as each other.
I see the green vote surge as a sign of voter. Disillusion with the coalition and ALP.
With a swing greater than the libs gain the greens are jubilant and far from an abyss. Let's see what they do. I trust Bob Brown as he is hard working and has a strong moral conviction. Now they have power we will see what they are made of.
