Cassowary area - the writing on the bottom one says before, the top one says after (of course its actually a sign for a speedhump & a cassowary )

I've been searching online for ages to find some nice scenic photos of Australia but can only find the odd one here and there!
If any of you have any nice photos of the area you live in would you mind posting a few photos please? I'm particularly interested in Melbourne/Geelong areas as thats probably where we'll end up going if successful but I'd also like to see others if possible (particularly lovely beaches!). In all honesty I'd be happy to see any photos of Australia!!
Thanks very much

I would recommend that you go to the 'My Melbourne' series of images on the Age newspaper website. If you move down and click on My Melbourne link bottom right it will take you to the digital images which readers have submitted.
In My Melbourne 2003 for example there are 10 pages of thumbprints with 50 images on each which you can click on to enlarge or you can go throw the enlargements as a slide show. You can store any of the images you like on your 'puter and copy them to CD or whatever. For example, I've posted a couple of images I got from here in the curry/pizza thread Melbourne I started. Happy downloading! Sorry if anyone else has already mentioned this source as I haven't read through any of the posts:

Try this as well for a nice panoramic sweep from Princes Bridge showing Southbank, Flinders St Station, Yarra River etc:

Hi All,
If anyone wants to look at my Oz snaps visit my photo blog site, I've tried to update it every now and then since we moved to Sydney in December. It also inlcudes some of LA where we had a stop over. I try and put some info with each photo so you might learn something too :lecture:

If you want to share your experiences with friends etc back home I think these photo blogs are a cool way to do it. Buzznet was free when I signed up and as far as I know it still is, but there are lots on the web just search for free photo blog.
Have fun,
Chad and Sharon
