my OH has a fixation with socks, he has a drawer full of new ones. Sometimes he likes to look at them now and then yet still wears the ones with the holes in

Then I went to America and discovered that even the coolest of blokes wore them up to their calves with their Birkenstocks!
Nothing like a freshly replenished drawer of socks and pants.

I'm like that. My wife buys me new socks, underwear, working shirts, etc; but I don't use them. I prefer to wear out the old ones first.
