I've been wondering for a while whether you would be of the same opinion about Australia had you settled somewhere else.

This is a genuine question because I'm quite curious.

Maybe it is because you are only down the road from me that you can understand what I`m saying.

Don't worry Sharon, I'm not pissed off, It's just a major frustration I have at the moment with the pen bushers in Canberra trying to get my son a passport so we can leave this godforsaken country. So when people say just leave if you don't like it, It warms the blood somewhat. Your braver than me coming here without seeing it first, but seeing as I did see it first before coming and still came means nothing, so who knows. I hope you do like it here. Just don't burn any bridges to get here and carefull slagging off the UK it's not that bad really it isn't . Come back NHS and Mr Blair all is forgiven.

Maybe, who knows, I didn't like Sydney much and I'm not too keen on where I am now. But a lot of my problems are endemic to the country as a whole I think. If we can we might try and rent up Brisbane way first before coming back but that depends on how quich the house sells.

These threads are reason that many come onto the Forum then get a little scared off or p*ssed off, very tiresome

Having lived in both countries my own opinion is both are really on par with each other, depends on your own life and expectations, what suits you now may not suit you in 5 years time and just make the most of what you have at the moment - be it Oz or UK.

Just be bloody happy with your lot and if you want to move to another country for whatever reason, just do it, only you will know if it is right

If you had your bucket handy, you wouldn`t have pissed yourself.

I know, I cant believe it.
I am almost looking for it.
I just went to pick up pizza from Dominos and a car of young blokes pulled up beside me and I couldnt help feeling a bit intimidated. They nodded to let me open the car door before them and then beat me and the kids to Dominos but held the door open for us first
