With three dogs you may have a problem. Many councils only allow two dogs per property unless you apply for a special permit. For rentals you would be pushing it. More chance in rural areas but you can check with council websites. We live in the Adelaide Hills which is semi rural and you have to apply to keep more than two dogs.

Have you looked at the cost of transporting the dogs? Will cost a few grand and you need to start the process months ahead.

Yeh thanks rammygirl,have looked at costs and process to take them,we wouldnt consider going without them so thats none optional.Lets hope Queensland are a bit more lenient...or we will have to apply for the permit

Brisbane are the same as the majority of the country - one or two dogs - permit free. Three or four - require a permit. https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/comm...et/keeping-dog

However if you're looking to rent you're automatically reducing the amount of properties you can rent because many owners do not allow pets, whether kept indoor or outside.
