Re: Pubs shut on Good Friday!!! what other days???
We were in QLD 2 years ago going to the Whitsundays sailing. We left on Good Friday - luckily someone told us on the Thursday 'you do know there will be no bottle shops etc open on Friday don't you?' Luckily we got all our booze before we went to the Whitsundays! Most of the other people on the boat didn't realise and so were in a stress about not being able to have any booze!! Imagine that - 4 days at sea with no booze.....!!!
Well, I can't....
Must admit, did find it odd that everything was closed, but there you go...

That leaves 363 other days when the pubs, clubs, RSLs, offies etc are open. Isn't that enough?

My sentiments exactly. What ever anybody says, the fact still remains that we are not being able to choose what we want to do because it is a religious celebration of Jesus Christ and that cross thingy stuff. What about the 99 per cent of people that do not give a stuff and do not believe in the fairy tail.
Would everyone want to celebrate a Bin Laden day or Adolf Hitler day.
