Default Probable Air Price War Out Of Perth 2018?

With Qatar Airways upgrading its daily Perth to Doha service by putting on its flagship A 380 super jumbo on the route from May 1st next year, a probable major air fare war is said to be in the making.

A bit of an odd decision, considering Qatar Airways only has 10 on order , and those operating on the Sydney and Melbourne routes at the moment are rarely full, while not forgetting Qantas will increase capacity on its Perth to Singapore route, operating twice daily from April 8th.

Perhaps the tyranny of distance in the sense of exuberant price fixing out of Perth may be taking a well deserved break? Still a lot of work to be done on the pricing stich up on the Perth to South Africa route.......but some hope on the horizon.

Well it could once have appeared that way when 'Packed For Perth' was the saying for Rhodesians (Zimbabweans, as now known) a cry later taken up by certain South Africans wanting to bus out ....WA today as the largest Zimbabwean population in Australia, as I recall. Even some of Mugabe's (long serving leader, until recent) family were domiciled here. No idea if still in Perth though........
