How long have you had to wait for post from England.

We set up a redirect to an address in Australia when we left and we know that birthday cards, final bills etc that were sent have still not arrived in Australia about 5 weeks later. Though other mail has arrived since then.

Has anyone else experienced similar delays with mail.

Is there anywhere we can check or should we now consider it lost ?

We have just received some mail that was posted to us from the UK in July! It has been very poor recently most things taking a lot longer than they used to. If I send a card to the UK it can be there within a week.
Maybe check with Royal Mail.

Mails been very slow for the last 3-4 months, Before that I could get stuff in 3-4 days, now its at least 3 weeks, even for cards,

My wife got a birthday card from the UK yesterday. It was posted on Saturday

Rather than post mails use fed ex and tcs as its speedy, more secure and you can track your packages plus insure them if valuable. Post mail is dinosaur for now.

This thread is about mail from the UK. There is no need to use a courier service when sending ordinary mail from the UK, the normal system is much cheaper. The only problem is that sometimes the service is slower than others. Its happened often over the last few years and I'm sure it'll pick up again.

Maybe in your country people use couriers fr ordiary packages, birthday crads etc and see post as a dinosaur but that is not really the case in the UK or Aus.
