A plea to all forumites

Re: A plea to all forumites
I agree with the above sentiments and as long as the majority of us do these things it will make the forum better.
However, as we know there are always those who will give a misleading title to attract more responses to perhaps a mundane question, or to elicit responses from certain people, or for trolling or for whatever other reason.
Spelling mistakes in thread titles can't be changed later too! There have been countless emmigration, imigration, Sidney etc threads.
A little pet hate of mine while we're at it too - Aussies instead of Ozzies please.

PS to other posters: Just (belatedly) discovered karma I received for this thread. Thank you to all who donated. I'm so not used to it, I don't know what to say ... except 'thank you'!!

How can we speed it ?
Limit all posts to one liners ?
Ban thread contents and just have titles ?
Firewall block the BE website ?
Unplug our modems ?
Let's discuss the topic in depth.....Oh no, sorry, that would defeat the object

People need to search rather than just starting up a new thread with the same question from yesterday.

Re: A plea to all forumites
The title says a plea to ALL forumites so I assumed I might be able to help being a forumite but it is just about a load of crap about how to title your thread.
God dont ya just wish people would put in the title exact details of what the thread is about

I agree with everything Worzel said. I also agree with this:
The thing that annoys me the most is when people double post topics. It's just silly to post in the Lifestyle forum, and then post exactly the same thing in the Immigration forum. Seems to be happening a lot lately though.
