Default Petrol $1.10/litre

Nobody mentions the price of petrol any more.

I'm starting to think that there may be something in this whinging pom epithet.

It's always cheaper in Qld as you effectively don't pay GST.

Try 92 pence a litre for unleaded back in Blighty! And diesel sucks at £1.06 a litre

I was going to add that price

My local Woolworths petrol station tends to have a cheaper price on the pump than the price advertised on the big board.

It was quoting 104.9 outside, but at 101.9 on the pump. Not complaining of course... It is almost always the case when I go there.

I wonder when it will go below the $1 figure.

It was a $1.14 with a docket at my local woolworths this morning - it apparently is always dearer up here in the far north than in Brisbane, but on the plus side it's much cheaper than the UK and cheaper than it was a few weeks ago here - so I'm not game to grumble about it

But is that the price of standard unleaded or the E10 unleaded, which is about 3 cents cheaper than standard?

It's the same here in Vic. If you're a long way from the Melbourne, you can add 10c.

In theory but often I've nipped over the border into NSW and found it a few cents cheaper than any of the pumps close by in QLD.

Its great that petrol is cheaper here but you have to drive a hell of a lot further than in the UK so it balances out !
