paying in cheques- HSBC

Default paying in cheques- HSBC
Hi

We bank with HSBC, we have a cheque to pay in, but we live in Port Kennedy, our nearest branch is in Booragoon, is it possible to pay in a cheque locally like the post office?

Think we may have to change banks!!!

You can pay cheques in at any post office. It seems to take a long time to clear though. Our cheque appeared in our account the day after we paid it in but the funds weren't available till about 8 days later.

When we were still in the UK, I posted a cheque to the Queen St. branch in Brisbane and it was paid in no problem.

No, it's a one off cheque, I will see if I can pay it in at the post office, thanks for help
