Obtaining Credit Card when on a 457
I am having trouble finding someone I can get a credit card from.
I will be on a 457 Visa and have so far been told that I can only get a credit card once I am a resident or citizen.
does anyone know of a company I can get a Credit Card from?

We're on a 457 and have a credit card from the Commonwealth Bank. We also do our personal banking them and my salary is paid into the account which may help.

thanks - i just opened an account on the phone with WestPac - they were the ones that told me i couldnt get one through them. Maybe i chose the wrong bank then.

ANZ for us, same as above we do all personal banking with them.

I think thats right. The response seems to vary depending on which branch you go into and who you speak to.
