Obtaining a 189 skilled VISA – AIQS
Hi,
Please can you provide advice on the following?
I am a Qualfied Quantity surveyor and achieved my qualification 12 months ago. I have 1 years post graduate work experience and 2.5 years work experience as a trainee quantity surveyor prior to graduating.
I am currently in the process of looking to submit an EOI for a 189 skilled visa, as my occupation is on the MLTSSL list.
Although it appears I cannot currently submit an application via the AIQS (assessing authority) as there is not a pathway within their application process for applicants with less than 2 years skilled employment since achieving their qualification.
Firstly, is anyone aware of another pathway within the AIQS for me to apply for skilled migration, based upon my current experience, or will I have to wait a further 12 months?
Secondly, if I cannot apply for a 189 skilled visa, is there another permenant visa I could apply for?
Furthermore, can I still apply for a EOI if I have not been approved by the AIQS?
Thanks for the help!
Harry
