Hi,

I am applying for a skilled visa for my occupation (electrician), so we can move to Oz.

My wife is a qualified nursery nurse here in the UK. She has an NVQ level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD). She has held this qual since 2010. She has been working as a nursery nurse every since.

When we move over, she wants to work in a similar role in QLD, hopefully the Gold Coast! Are her quals recognized in Oz?
What sort of wage could she expect with these quals?

I have read some threads on here regarding this but they are from 2008 and the links are no longer accessible.

Any info would be great

Level 3 on the list but not your wife's. See page 1 for how to check equivalence.

Thanks both of you for this info. It seems my wife can work as a group leader. The wage structure is a lot better than what she is on in the UK.
I may end up living off her for a while.lol

Have you looked at the SOL/CSOL? It's pretty easy to find.

No skilled visa with your wife's qual. Closest is Unit Group 1341: Child Care Centre Managers.
