Hey im moving to the gold coast on my own next year and am sooooo nervous, I have been talking to some people who have been out there and the feed back I been getting isnt good. A lot of them have said its quite lonely if your on your own and that alot on towns are becoming ghost towns because of so few people. Is the information I been given correct or am I just getting worried over nothing? Cheers.

I think the information you were given referred to drought-affected country towns, not the Gold Coast.

The ghosts are pretty noisy round here today, and they are partying like there's no tomorrow. Judging by the constant sound of bottles being thrown into skips, the drop bears round here are pretty thirsty too

Can your sources give examples of the towns with no people in them? I might be interested in moving there, if prices are low enough, I might buy the whole town. You can be as lonely as you want. Plenty of life here. Well I'm still alive anyway but I'm in a parallel world, so I could be wrong
