Default Moving from Toronto to Sydney in December

Good day everyone!

We will be landing on a PR visa mid December. Since we do not have family or friends in Sydney, we would like to know reasonable accommodation options available to us on arrival. We are a couple and looking for something temporary until we are able to find rental accommodation. Your thoughts and ideas will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks...

Sorry no idea on accomodation, but just wanted to add the fairly standard warning incase you don't have jobs lined up, landing in December means that most HR departments are on skeleton crew until mid Feb as everyone takes their summer holidays. Just wanted you to be aware of this incase you were wanting to job hunt.

The usual accommodation options until you find a long term rental are holiday lets although I know someone who stayed in a youth hostel while house hunting. You could try Stayz, Homeaway, Airbnb and gumtree - or trivago/booking.com for hostels.

An excellent reply and also to mention that it is also the start of the Christmas and Summer Holidays where accommodation can also be a lot more expensive. Good luck with your new start in Aus
