Moving to Gold Coast/Brisbane metro? Coast pics & talk here.
A fairly old picture of the Gold Coast. Between Brisbane and Gold Coast there are several theme parks including Dreamworld, Movieworld, Seaworld and water parks. The two cities are linked by the 8 lane Pacific Motorway and a rail link. Coolangatta Airport is the Gold Coasts' local airport with flights all around Australia and New Zealand. Brisbane's airport is the major local airport and is connected by the Gateway Motorway and a rail link. Major enclosed and air conditioned shopping centres are close to all suburbs with a large new one just approved close to Movie World. All major shopping centres have cinemas.
This picture features the currently under construction Q1 apartment building to be completed in 2005. At 78 floors it will be the tallest residential building in the world. Brisbane is also experiencing a boom in apartment construction, the lastest announcement being a 77 floor building in Brisbane city.
One of the fastest growing areas in Australia is the area between Brisbane and Gold Coast. The Gold Coast beaches are within easy driving distance from Brisbane metro.
