Yes, tennis is on the up in Scotland. Elena Baltacha (daughter of Sergei Baltacha who came to Ipswich, then St Johnstone, Inverness etc from Ukraine to play football) was No.1 but has just come back from serious illness and I'm not sure if she's still No.1 or thereabouts. Mhairi Neish, from Hawick, is top 20 as well. In the recent British junior championships a boy from Edinburgh won the 16 and under and a boy from Glasgow won the 18 and under and 3 of the 4 semi-finalists were Scottish. Andrew Murray from Dunblane who has also just come back from injury rose to No.2 18 and under in the world so look out for him - hopefully he'll do a Federer.
