Thought I should just tell those who order from M&S online that M&S no longer deduct the VAT - they just charge the UK price that includes VAT, but don't call it VAT, so prices have effectively gone up by 17.5%.

Bugger - Isn't UK VAT now 20% - so thats even more of a rise.

I think UK VAT goes up on the 1st Jan ....so get those orders in now!

Shame they've stopping deducting VAT - just as I was about to start using their online service - damn!

I may be wrong but I don't recall vat having been deducted from any of my orders in the past. The only time there was an adjustment was when the rate was reduced to 15% temporarily.
