Default Major incident in Melbourne.

Not sure what this is yet, but car has driven through the Bourke St Mall.... Knocking dozens over....1 confirmed dead thus far. City in lock down.....

It's either a Junkie gone loopy or could be a terroist incident....only reason for the latter is the timing. Probably a junkie seeing as he was doing burn outs previously before the cops started chasing him.

Looking more and more like a Junkie gone loopy..... as it's related to a domestic incident in the Melbourne suburb of Windsor earlier today, where someone got stabbed.

The CBD is in lockdown though, which is bloody adding to the Drama... very sensitive about the Australian Open...maybe too much....although I guess you can't be too careful. The Tullmarine freeway is blocked all the way past Coburg now.

One son found, he was busy eating so didnt answer phone! Other one is apparently at work so wont be answering phone, relative decided to leave Melbourne last night for New Zealand, unexpected but safe and on a plane apparently.

Sadly 3 dead, 20+ injured, some critical. So thoughts to those affected.

It is a mad crazy world. Very sad for the people in the mall. I have now read that children are critically hurt.

Looking at the footage of the idiot doing donuts, looks like any night on the news, northern/western suburbs hoons type story. Looks pretty experienced at driving that way too.

No wonder everyone looks so calm, just standing there watching, nobody would have guessed his next move.

News is now saying a child and a young asian man are among the dead, so bloody unfair. Whole thing possibly related to a stabbing in Windsor Melbourne overnight.

How horrible. Among the three dead is a baby who was knocked out of his/her pram. Another little one critical. Incomprehensible.

Reading his mates FB posts, seems Ice was his preferred drug. Drug that seems to cause so much havoc. No excuse for this, at all. Let alone the fact that whilst his brothers stabbing was being covered in the news, he drove that red car behind the presenter and seems to be taunting the authorities in the background
I hope that all those injured make a full recovery but my heart aches for all involved. As a mother, I know everyone is feeling for the mother of the 3 yr old but please extend that, all three had mums and dads. Loved ones. Totally unexplainable

I'm sure everyone feels great sorrow for all the dead and injured, and for their families.

Another idiot out on parole.

When will governments learn that violent criminals should remain locked up forever and not be allowed to roam around free and kill people.

It's a tragedy that we have these sort of people in our society and a tragedy innocents were effected.

But I don't buy this whole 'Melbourne hurts' and 'we're bigger than this' tabloid stuff.

We are all appalled. I was saying to my family: when out in public keep off phones and take earphones out: you need to be able to hear shots, tyres, people calling out.
