Living Expenditure in Sydney
Hi All,
I want to have some info regarding the living expense in Sydney.
I am Indian and have my wife, one and half year old son.
I will get around 5500$ after tax monthly.
We enjoy a decent lifestyle with not much eating outside. Will prefer a 1 BHK in a decent Indian locality.
Kindly advise what will be average expenditure per month in terms of rent, groceries, internet, utility bills etc.
Thanks.

Re: Living Expenditure in Sydney
Hi Bimal
I suspect I don't have a typical expenditure profile (childless middle-aged couple, own home, never cook) but you can get an idea of groceries costs by going through the initial steps of doing an online shop at Coles or Woolworths.
Rent varies wildly but take a look at domain.com.au for some ideas of what you can get in different suburbs.
I think you will find Indian communities west of the city, e.g., Harris Park, Parramatta. I've just had a quick google and found some online communities for Indians in Sydney so do similar and see what you can find out.
Best of luck! We've been in Sydney since early 2008 and love it.
