Hi All

We found the info and advice on British Expats so useful when we compiled our VISA application so thanks everyone who helped without knowing !

Our 175 VISA was granted in Jan this year and we are Brisbane bound in 5 weeks time to validate and do a reccie

Hubby is a Quantity Surveyor who has worked in many sectors including retail and high end residential but his heart is in new build and refurbishments of the leisure industry ie restaurant chain fit outs, public house refurbs etc.

In the UK there are limiited contractors specialising in this field who obtain the work through approved lists and architect referrals ( as well as the "who you know" network !). Can anyone advise if the same applies in Oz and if so, provide any contact details we could try.

Would dearly love to arrange to see some contacts whiilst we are there which will influence whether we do this now, in a while or if at all !
