Update from me:

House been on almost 3 weeks and we've had 10 viewings so far, so I'm pretty pleased with the agent.

No offers as yet, but seems a lot of interest so I wont be dropping the price at the moment.

Not panicking, I reckon the market will pick up soon.

dont have all the details yet as this was only put on us last night, but it seems they will be going around all family to try and raise the money so yes its going to be a family nightmare.

Can a student get a mortgage on potential projected earnings??
Update even with everyone chipping in and us dropping the price substantially they cant afford to buy it

Partner very upset that he cant help them further just another massive guilt trip to add onto the move

so its going on the market next week.

We put our house on the market last week. One viewer so far and one next Monday. We are going on a retirement visa (Approved subject to production of £326,000 liquid assets being deposited in Oz account within six months)

DIMIA made it clear that there is no possibility of extending the deadline and we had to sign an undertaking to that effect. As retirement visas (410) cease
as from the 30th June we are under extreme pressure to sell and complete by the 20th of October this year or no chance of going.

We don't even have the option of renting the place until the market picks up,
we must sell.

TALK ABOUT STRESS.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Add us to the list of sellers

Have you considered taking a secured loan based on the security of the house, getting to Oz and then repay the loan once in Oz - in the meantime rent out the house to keep the payments on the debt going.

gdad that is stress in a big way, wishing you lots of luck, odaat's idea sounds a good one if time starts to run out, well worth looking at

Bet your partner is very upset possums, must have knocked the wind out of his sails, he must have got excited thinking that he could help them like that. Buy him a big drink/ice cream to cheer him and you up, go on treat yourselves

Sandy.l is on a distinguished road
Default Re: Just how many of us have house up for sale?

We have been up for sale since late Feb and had 4 viewers. One of those is desperate to buy ours and has said she will pay full asking price (she has been round three times with various members of her family but only counted her as 1 viewer) but she still has to sell hers. So I suppose we are 'Under Offer Maybe'?

We have listed ours on the classifieds section of British Expats:

http://britishexpats.com/classifieds...1&cat=7&page=1

Hope the link works, I'm never very good at those!

No just interested/nosey in how many of us there are.

I'v looked into that option but my age (60) limits the amount that I
can borrow even though I'm employed.

Thanks for the idea anyway.
