Default IPAD Tax write off?

I read somewhere recently that parents can claim the cost of a ipad on tax and i was wondering if any one knows if this might apply to other people? I think i could probably claim a lap top from tax but do any of the accountants out there know if i could claim a ipad?

It depends on whether ATO consider an IPAD a laptop I suppose.

BTW, you can claim a new Laptop on education every year!

It does depends on what you earn though. You have to be claiming Family Tax Benefit A or B or something to qualify for the education rebate.

Don't know what the IPAD counts as - sorry!

If you need your iPad for work you could depreciate it.
