Re: Internal Flights
After spending most of yesterday trying to organise flights in a crisis (FIL not expected to live more than 48hrs) I think this gives you a indication of how good an airline is.
Once again, Virgin Blue comes out top. We had real problems getting connecting flights within a short time span. Qantas were a complete waste of time. Even though we explained the urgency of our situation, the girl on the other end of the phone was totally disinterested and unhelpful. On the other hand, Virgin bent over backwards for us. In al the panic i managed to book us on the worng flight to Sydney, when our connecting flight was from Melbourne!!! The sales girl was great and cancelled it and rebooked on the correct flight, then she offered us free use of their "blue room" services to make our trip a little less stressful. I cannot praise them highly enough. Have used them on several occassions now, and have always found them very helpful.

Really sorry to hear about FIL. Because you hadn't mentioned him for a while I assumed (doh!) that he was doing ok. Hope the flight goes well and you are able to do the goodbyes as you would want. All the best.

Can you tell I do the travel bookings for the company??
REX does the flights to the small towns around the south of australia. Worth checking each airline out for travel to Sydney in Nov I found Qantas to be the cheapest. For Easter next year it was Jetstar.
