Hi all
We are moving over permanently in September, we were over in March and when we landed in Brisbane I spotted a large industrial factory (towers and chimneys) accross the airport runway. Does anybody know the name of this, who runs it and what it actually manufacturers, I am job hunting now so any info would be great. I am a Mechanical Technician with 22 yr working on Chemical factories (ex ICI). We are wanting to base around the Gold Coast but this may change depending on work availabity. Fly in Fly out is a option for work on the mines ect but would rather stay local. Any help appreciated. My wife is a Mental Health Nurse so we think there wil be plenty of work for her at various locations.

The area I think you are referring too is just before the Port Of Brisbane, I worked there last year and use to drive pass the place you are talking about, I just cant remember what it was called, maybe ring or email the port of brisbane authorities and they might be able to help.

Do you mean Lytton oil refinery? It's directly across from the airport

There is defo a BP refinery in this area....
