ok - im floundering here and i need some advice. Im british - 30 years old - with no formal qualifications. Ive got approx £110,000 to invest in australia and im willing to re train or study (preferabley in oz) to do a job that the oz government requires. Im currentley self employed as a partner in a firm of estate agents . I also have an autralian friend in oz that would probably be persuaded to set up a company and sponser me to do something(!). As far as i can see i dont fit into any of the standard requiments . Does anyone have any creative advice on how i could immigrate - anything considered ! ps - im visiting oz in july this year and would happily meet up with anyone who thought they could help, if you can - get in touch.

It's difficult to be British, what with Foot & Mouth and Mad Cow's! It is a lot
easier to get some great information about migration to Australia in contrast. :)

You should visit www.immi.gov.au and look at the fact sheets and migration
booklets... and buy the booklet that may fulfil your needs. In the meanwhile keep a
lookout for replies on this newsgroup.

P.S. next time you travel to Australia try to come out on a sub-class 456 Business
(short-stay) ETA instead of a vistiors visa.
