We're planning to just go - as it is costing more to live day by day to stay in UK!

Get a job paying money and keep and keep the money. Go bush - install irrigation systems - learn it in a week - make $1-2k / week after tax - live rough - do you a world of good.

Hi Stephen

How long are you waiting for? We received our Visa back in March and are going out on 14th November (8 weeks and 2 days...) The wait seemed ages back in March, but the time has really flown, very cliched I know, but what with winding down at work, closing up your life in the UK, it's over before you know it.

So it may seem like a lifetime now, but it really doesn't.

Jo

I know exactly how you're feeling... got the visas about a month ago, and we've always said we would go to Oz in January after the holiday season. However, I'm so tempted to just get on a plane now...! I was thinking last night about how easy it would be to just get on a flight leaving soon (especially as I'm not in a permanent job at the moment!). My only consolation is, as someone previously posted, that I think the time between now & then will fly by!
