Re: How easy/hard is it getting a visa without an agent?
Oh...by the way, does the age of the spouse have a bearing on whether someone applying for a spouse visa will be accepted?
What I mean is, does my girlfriend (who is almost 24 years old) stand a better chance of being accepted than someone who is also applying for a spouse visa and is 35 or 40 years of age?
It would really be to my benefit if this was the case, even though I personally believe this to be discrimination. Age is a factor in determining whether a work visa will be granted though, isn't it?
It's a shame that things aren't more straight forward isn't it? Australia was built on migrant labour yet there's no recognition of this fact in in our policies.
Anyway! That's my rant for the day

I suggest you read the spouse migration information on the DIMIA website.
Quick tip - it's better to post new questions on new threads, not on the tail end of unrelated ones.

Any help gratefully appreciated!!! Has anyone ever written a book/manual on how to emigrate to Australia? Would be great if they had!!! If not by the end of all this I may just do it!

You sound like you can do it on your own due to your extra points and skills plus you are being sponsored.
You will do it - no worries
