Housing Costs
Hi
I will be moving to Adelaide, Brisbane or Sydney in September 2002. I need some details before I move over there.
1) How much do we need for the initial settlement? ( Housing, Food, Travelling expenses)
2) How about the housing? How much do we need for the initial apartment rent, etc.,
3) How about the trasportation costs?
Your time and help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike.

Re: Housing Costs
hi Mike, You probably need to define what you mean a little more as there are a lot
of variables in your post.......the rent for a 2 or 3 bed apartment is considerably
different in cost between the three cities..I mean there can be a REAL difference and
then you need determine general areas, proximity to the city etc......for instance if
you want to get by in a 2 bed unit in Brisbane whilst you are establishing yourself
you can get something decent for $150 per week upwards, but for $150 in Sydney well
you may get a garage in a similar position, that may be a slight exaggeration but the
costs vary a real lot.........I do not know the Adelaide market well enough to
comment.........as for transportation are you speaking of train/bus travel etc well
within city limits it is not that expensive .....relative to distance of
course.....if you define a bit more about what you are wanting info on I think there
are a few people here who can help you. cheers
