Default Hope Island / Sanctuary Cove

Does anybody live in or near the above and commute to Brisbane CBD?

If so could you advise how long your commute is? Are there any decent public transport options?

Do you have any comments on these areas generally as we are considering looking for rentals in these areas when we arrive in August.

cheers

Live in HI, commute to Brizzy (depending on traffic and what part of Brizzy) anything from 45min to 90min.
Helensvale Train Station is 5 mins drive, Plenty of parking and well lit.
Coomera Train Station, 10mins drive, plenty of parking, not recommended for women traveling alone at nite. About an 1 hour.
If you play golf you will enjoy it here. And if you have a buggy you will be able to get to the Tavern , shops and restaurant without taking you car.
Let me know if you need any other info. (no strings attached)

how long does the train take? Is it a good, frequent service and how much would you pay for a weekly / monthly ticket?

At the risk of asking the obvious, what is the issue with Coomera? Is it the area of the station which is a bit, erm, dodgy? When you say at night do you mean travelling back from work in the evening or later on after a night in town etc?

cheers

Train is about an hour. About every 20mins, Not sure about cost, never used the train
Nothing wrong with coomera station, just not a lot of people around and in the middle of no where (for now, until they build coomera shopping centre around it) Lot more people get off at Helensvale. This is just what I have heard from friends who use the train.
No need to go to Brizzy for a nite out, plenty of 'Good Entertainment' around here (Thats if you're old like me and don't like the Doff Doff of nite clubs)
