Hi there im new to this
Hi myself and husband and two boys are due to move to Perth at the begining of December, we are staying with family first in Armadale and then going to find a place to stay in Mandurah, does anyone know much about the schools and suburbs in Mandurah, ive heard Halls Head , Falcon and Dawesville are nice areas thanks.

I can't help on schools but do live in mandurah - dawesville. It depends on what you want and budget.
Dawesville is split into two parts. One is estuary side and is made up of older bigger houses on large blocks. The other is beach side and is a new area and is beach side but more expensive.
Halls Head is popular with families.
Other areas to consider are meadow springs and lakelands.
Are you looking for beach side or not? What is your budget? Where will you be working - dawesville is furthest from the strain station if your working in Perth.

Thankyou for replying we do have to rent for at least 6 months ,obviously i know Falcon Primary is good and Halls Head Primary so i think trying to get somewhere close to these would be good , budget is cheap as possible as we wont be renting for long, i have been looking at houses in Dawesville , meadow springs and Falcon i will look up schools in thwese areas thanks Paula xx

It's a nickname for Rockingham.
If you are planning buying soon, then I would look at renting in the same area as it avoids kids changing schools.
Falcon is nice, though not everyone's cup of tea as it is a mix of new houses, old houses and shacks (you will be surprised to see them). But, it has a wonderful beach, is very handy for the shops and it's about to get a new pub.
We love Dawesville, but it is a drive / bus ride to school - but, we see kids all getting on the bus so not the end of the world.

Here's a good link to find schools in the area.http://www.myschool.edu.au/
Are you coming on a 457 visa? There are recent changes to the schooling fees for people on 457 visa which will come into effect in 2015.

Good luck with everything.... keep asking questions, there is lots of knowledge on here. Also use the search function at the top, really good for finding info.
Cheers

Yup.. It's free ....if you don't into account the gallons of sunscreen got through every 20 minutes, the specialist sun resistant rashies ... The overpriced UV safe sunnies, The stingoze for the jelly fish stings, the cost of ambulance transport when they get dumped by a wave on their heads,
Or the shark repellent vests
Mwah ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaa
