Re: Hello
We also have an opportunity for an individual to provide maternity leave cover for one of our Neighbourhood Housing Officers for approximately 9 months. We are ideally seeking an experienced and well-organised housing officer who can quickly take responsibility for neighbourhood issues and initiatives within a defined geographical area. The role will involve carrying out home visits, facilitating neighbourhood agreements, dealing with cases of alleged anti-social behaviour, and providing accurate advice and guidance on a wide range of tenancy queries. The role requires the ability to maintain a diplomatic, assertive and confidential approach to a varied and busy case-load. Good IT and administration skills are also required to ensure that accurate records are kept on our Customer Relationship Management and Housing Management systems and in our house files. The role also requires the post holder to liaise effectively with other partnering organisations such as Social Services, the police, and local authority.
Basically the PSO's in Melbourne do a similar job, Only on Trains.
Here's the PSO job description and Duties.
