Have the ACS heard of Cisco

At the risk of sounding bitter, I can't understand the arrogance of the ACS at their apparant rejection of a networking company that controls 3/4 of the global market.
DIMA stated that they required Cisco Certified Pro's but the ACS doesn't seem to recognise Cisco. The fact that I have spent the last year gaining CCNA and CCNP staus only fuels my dissapointment.
I have no degree to fall back on although I do have 4 years experience in the ICT field. It has been a life-long ambition to one day live in Australia so any help anyone could offer really would be gratefuly appreciated.
Cheers,
Glenn.

Hi Glenn,
We (in this case we being George Lombard Consultancy and Australian Labour
Market Services) are holding a seminar this week with ACS on issues such as the
one you raise.
In fact, we have had Cisco people approved so I suspect it was something more
fundamental in your case, such as the four year rule. If you would like to shoot us
over a cv I will happily raise it with Sarah Paul and Gerry Maynard of ACS.
Anyone who wants to come to the seminar in Sydney on Friday is also welcome to
contact us, particularly migration agents or outsourcing agencies. I expect Jeremy to
contact me about this
The second half of the seminar on Friday deals with IEAust; we are hoping to deal
with all the ASCO definitional issues as well as the varying procedural differences
between the two.
Cheers
