Government Pension.
I received the pension 28 years ago. Having signed a document requesting it to be indexed. It has remained the same as I live in a Commonwealth country. It surprises me that the Australian government does not push for this to be changed. Some years ago the Canadian Brit. ex pats took it to the house of lords , 2 judges found against 1 judge agreed it should be indexed, I believe it then went to the international court in the Hague, again it was thrown out. This ,to me is an injustice. What say you?

Yes, we do. I'm over 60 now so eligible for my Canada Pension Plan government pension (previously called the Old Age Pension).

Re: Government Pension.
It is nothing to do with reciprocal agreements, Canadian pensioners living in the UK get their Canadian state pension (CPP) uprated annually and the UK acknowledge they could uprate everyone., everywhere very easily.
This year we should be able to vote in the UK general election which should help us put some pressure on our MPs.
In the meantime I strongly suggest you join the Australian association of British Pensioners fighting to get annual uprating for Brits everywhere. Here is the link https://bpia.org.au/
