We got our visas to OZ in june 2001 but are unable to sell our house,we need to enter Oz within 12 months of our visas date.If we need longer than 12 months can we apply for an extended period or do we need to enter within 12 months as specified,i think i know the answer will be that we cannot extent this period but i had to ask anyway to see if possible.

The first entry date is generally not flexible. And if I were you I would check what
the date is, it's normally a bit less than 12 months from visa date.

However, if you're not ready to make the move straight away a holiday in Australia
will do to validate your PR.
