Hi all,

we have a job interview next week for a post in Esperance and i was just looking to see if anyone is in Esperance or knows much about it?

We have done our own research but always good to hear others info

The only thing I can tell you about Esperance from recent experience is that the petrol station closes at like 6pm and opens about 6am the next day - no 24 hour fuel!!!! My husband had to sleep there when he was running low on fuel on a trip from Brisbane to Albany. Very frustrating for us waiting for him to join us for the lat day of my family reunion.

According to many news reports Esperance is still badly contaminated with lead. Long running scandal.

Its a nice place with beautiful beaches, but has the large grain and minerals export port right in the middle.

The little museum there has parts from Skylab when it crashed down there.

Its connected to Perth by Skywest flight, but thats the only destination...if you want to fly east to Sydney, Mel, Adelaide, etc first you have to fly back to Perth.
